Binding Mountings to Cabinet

Binding mountings to the cabinet is a multi-step process:

  • Activate discovery mode for the selected cabinet
  • Switch off the outgoing power lines
  • Visual detection of switched-off luminaires
  • Find detected mounting on the map
  • Bind mounting to the cabinet with activated discovery mode
  • Switch on the lines
  • Deactivate discovery mode for the selected cabinet

Activate Discovery Mode

  1. Go to the SLCC page.
  2. Select the tab Settings -> Main.
  3. Click drop-down button Actions.
  4. Select item Activate Discovery Mode. Confirm selected action.
  5. Section Cabinet get new attribute shows that cabinet is in discovery mode. Go to the next step.

Switch OFF the Outgoing Power Lines

Assuming the user is still on the SLCC page.

  1. Select the tab Monitoring.
  2. Continue if contactors status are green (lines are powered).
  3. Flip fuse.
  4. Click button Off.
  5. Wait till contactor statuses become green (lines are unpowered).
  6. Go to the next step.

Detect & Bind Mounting

Assuming the user is in the field next to the SLCC.

  1. Go to the page Control -> Map.
  2. Select the tab Lights.
  3. Select marker presentaiton mode - Cabinet.
  4. Click button Locate. A map will be moved to the current user’s location.
  5. Repeat following three step for each mounting.

Visual detection of switched-off luminaires

Assuming the luminaires connected to the cabinet are not lighting comparing to the luminaires connected to another cabinet.

Bind detected mounting to the cabinet

  1. Click to the nearest marker.

  2. Click to the button with cabinet number.

    If there are a few cabinets with activated discovery mode, user find several buttons sorder by distance between marker and cabinet.

    If mounting bound to a cabinet already, this click will change related cabinet.

  3. Close window.

  4. Go by foot to the next switched off luminaire.

  5. Repeat steps 1..4

Switch ON the Outgoing Lines

  1. Go to the SLCC page.
  2. Select the tab Monitoring.
  3. Continue if contactors status are red (lines are unpowered).
  4. Flip fuse.
  5. Click button On.
  6. Wait till contactor statuses become green (lines are powered).
  7. Go to the next step.

Deactivate Discovery Mode

  1. Go to the SLCC page.
  2. Select the tab Settings -> Main.
  3. Click drop-down button Actions.
  4. Select item Activate Discovery Mode
  5. Confirm selected action.
  6. Section Cabinet loses attribute declaring active discovery mode.
  7. Go to the next step.

What’s going on in the database?

A columnmountings.cabinet_id gets a value.

Possible Issues

Marker information window has no buttons with cabinet codes

The reasons:

  • Discovery mode is not activated
  • The distance between cabinet and marker is longer than 1000 meters.
