Setting Lighting Policy

Setting Luminaire Dimming is multi-step process. The set of allowed dimming features depends on hardware vendor.

Lighting Policy

A lighting policy or policy is a logical object, a set of rules located on lanes, based on which the System assigns to each luminaire for each day of the calendar one of the lighting profiles available in the system. An unlimited number of lighting policies can be created in the system. A lighting policy assignes to a segment type. Policy rules may include conditions from the list below:

  • Mounting type

  • The number of the socket on the mountting on which the luminaire is installed (relevant for cases when the pole has two sockets - one for lighting the roadway, the other for lighting the sidewalk)

  • Luminaire model

  • Category of the mounting

The policy is represented as container of lines, where each lines can contain multiple conditions listed above and indicates the ligthing profile that should be selected when the rule set in the lines matches. The choice of a suitable line goes from top to bottom.
