Controller Replacement
It is recommended to replace the controller in one operation (as opposed to replacing the meter) to maintain the connection between the cabinet components and the digital ports of the controller.
Replacing the SLCC controller
-
Go to the SLCC page.
-
Select the tab Settings, subtab Main.

-
Click on the Replace button in the Controller section. A modal window will appear for entering the controller number.

3.1. Start entering the controller number. The system will prompt you for free controller numbers that start with the entered characters.
3.2. Select the required number from the proposed numbers. After selection, a green check mark will appear on the right side of the input field, indicating that the controller is selected.
3.3. Click the OK button.
-
The modal window is closed. In the Controller section, the information has been updated.
Free controller - a controller not tied to SLCC at the current moment.
What’s going on in the database?
When dismantling the controller, the is_archive = true value is set in the controllers table record in one transaction and a full duplicate of the record is created with a different id and empty values in the following fields: cabinet_id, from_dt, to_dt.
When selecting a controller for installation to SLCC, only controllers for which is_archive = false and an empty cabinet_id are included in the selection.
When mounting the controller, the cabinet_id, from_dt values are filled in the controllers table entry. Now, the metrics (statuses of the SLCC components) coming from this controller will be associated with the specified SLCC, and the commands sent to the SLCC components will be sent to this controller.
Solution of problems
System does not prompt for target controller number
The reasons:
- The controller with this number has not yet been registered in the system.
- The controller with this number is tied to another SLCC at the moment.
Decision:
- Make sure that the controller with the given number is present.
- If absent, create a controller with the given number.
- If available, dismantle the controller from the SLCC to which it is currently attached, following steps 1-4.
Automatic replacement
Since version 1.2, the electricity meter is linked to SLCC directly (not through the controller), which makes it possible to register the meters without the possibility of automatic remote reading of readings.
The system can automatically determine the fact of replacing the controller, if there is an electricity meter tied to SLCC. If the value of the configuration parameter is '' = true, then the actual binding of the controller to SLCC is determined through the link Meter -> SLCC.
It is expected that for the automatic replacement to work correctly, the replacement of controllers will be done through “quarantine”, that is, the dismantled controller will be kept in the warehouse for some time before being installed in another SLCC.
On the example of the IRZ controller and in the presence of an electricity meter.
No changes required in technical accounting.
- A specialist in the installation group physically dismantled the controller in SLCC;
- The editing team physically installed the new controller in SLCC;
- The new controller, in accordance with its own settings, establishes communication with the System acting as a client;
- The NG module, for the first connection of the controller, reads the serial number of the connected electricity meter and the measurement readings;
- The system determines that the controller is not tied to SLCC;
- By the number of the meter it is determined to which SLCC the meter belongs;
- The system sets up the binding of the controller to SLCC.
